Summary of Irisan
               
                Irisan, it is known to be part of Baguio. But, have you wondered who are the first and original settlers of the place? How does Irisan looked like before? and Where does the word "Irisan" came from?

                In the past decades. Idisan is thickly forested with pine trees. Idisan is a wood used t grind something to make it fine. The word Irisan was first used by the American colonizers which they changed d to r. Irisan was once a part of Tuba, Benguet led by the first mayor Joaquin Smith. Irisan is the biggest among the 32 barangay in Baguio City and it is the most populated. The original settlers in this place are the Luna, Smith, Bugnay, Alvarez, Maganes, Oseo, Binay-an, Copero, Gabol, Saguid, Menecio, Tadoy, Balaon, Ingosan, Catalan, Tacay, Cutay, Mang-os, and Salda.

                  Virginia Luna is one of the first resident in Irisan. She married Felix Luna after Lopez Oseo and had one son. Thay had 11 children, one was adopted, and the other one was a stepsister. When she was 13 years old, her father and Virginia moved to Irisan in 1946. Virginia Luna served as a barangay captain and a barangay kagawad when she was still living. Aside from that, she is also a business woman She is not a naturally born Ibaloi but could be a  source of knowledge to speak about Ibalois in Irisan.
            
            Today, it is not a secret that the place once lived by pure Ibalois was now lived by mixed people. Aside from the mixed people it is also a mixed culture from the lowlanders and the highlanders.
